Circle City Tavern is now open in The Hub at 683 S. Main Street, Corona.
The eatery is billed as a “scratch kitchen cafe serving breakfast and lunch by day … and a speakeasy tavern serving bar favorites and craft cocktails by night.”
The restaurant offers a little bit of everything, including shareables, salads, sandwiches, wagyu burgers, flatbreads and tacos (including Korean BBQ).
A breakfast sandwich and burrito are available until 2 p.m. and a selection of house specialties — including 28-day dry-aged steak frites and pan-seared salmon — are available after 4 p.m.
Cocktail specialties include the 1847 — a Cognac and rum-based cocktail served in a take-home flask — and The Queen’s Gambit, made with single-estate rum, velvet falernum, peach, and fresh citrus.
Zero-proof options are available, and yes, I had to look up what velvet falernum was, too.
The restaurant also opens up into The Backyard, a spacious outdoor area with umbrella-covered seating, lawn games, a large LED screen and overhead string lights.
Soft opening hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.-midnight Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
